Chakras and Energy Pathways

Pranic Healing

In Pranic Healing an experienced Practitioner uses natural Life Force energy to heal the client's damaged, contaminated, congested, weak or misaligned health condition.

The word PRANA comes from the East Indian tradition and means Life Force and is equivalent to Chi (or Qi or Ki) in the Chinese tradition. In Pranic Healing the practitioner is aware of the Electromagnetic Human Energy System or Auric Field and its constituent Major Chakras, Minor Chakras, energy pathways and energy flow paths. A healthy Aura provides a protective envelope from outside influence as well as harmonizing and integrating physical/emotional/mental aspects. The physical body reflects the aura in its condition or state of health. The movement and flow of Prana in the energy body regulates the physical organs and systems and enhances or inhibits a healthy physical body as well as psychological health. Life experience, physical and emotional trauma, drug, substance and chemical exposure all affect this electromagnetic field. The Pranic Healer is aware of this field, can perceive damage, congestion or depletion. Using this awareness the Pranic Healer works directly with the life force energy to promote healing.

A brief history

The healing modality known as Pranic Healing was synthesized by Master Choa Kok Sui and is based on ancient Chinese and East Indian traditions. The ancient science and art of Pranic Healing has been taught to the West and other parts of the world by Master Choa Kok Sui. In ancient Chinese Medical Science there are five levels of healing skills. The first is called Tui na or acupressure. In the second the healer uses herbs and substances to heal the patient. In the third, acupuncture and moxibustion are used. In the fourth the healer learns to project Chi (life energy or life force) energy into the needles, the meridians and the internal organs. This level requires years of training and practice. In the fifth level, Chi energy is projected for healing without needles or physical contact. Distance great or little does not change the effectiveness of the healing. In the Chinese system this art and science of energy projection is called Medical Chi Kung and is divided into the Internal School and the External School.

The Internal School utilizes the Chi energy of the practitioner and therefore exhausts the practitioner's supply of Chi rapidly. In the External School the practitioner learns to utilize energy from external sources like the air and the earth. By learning to use external Chi the practitioner does not get exhausted and may treat many patients in a day. One must develop strong internal alignment and power to be able to utilize external energy effectively. In the past, meditation, Yoga and esoteric exercises were used to develop the inner strength necessary to be able to access and utilize the outer energy in healing. At this level of healing proficiency, a life style is then developed and practiced to support the inner strength and clarity needed to do the work.

Master Choa Kok Sui has taken the Chinese Medical Philosophy and meridian system as developed into the art of the External School and applied and synthesized many of its principles to the East Indian Model of the human energy field or Auric/Chakra system. Major acupuncture nexus points become the central chakras and minor acupuncture nexus become the minor chakras. In the Indian Model chakras are the energy centers of the body. This synthesis of Chinese medical practices with the Indian human energy system is called Pranic Healing.

The training of a practitioner

The Pranic Healing Practitioner first learns to become aware of the human energy field. The Practitioner first learns the Auric/Chakra Model and how to become aware of the various frequencies of the aura and the chakra centers. S/he learns how to make the hands sensitive and how to detect and be aware of various frequencies of energy in the auric field. S/he learns to be aware of healthy Pranic flow as well as distortion, blockage, congestion or stagnation. The practitioner learns to become aware of the energy centers, learns pranic flow patterns, directions and how to clear, cleanse, stabilize, add or subtract energy as necessary for the healing of the patient. They learn to absorb or collect pranic energy from the air and how to project it to the patient. They learn to self heal, do distant healing and work with higher frequencies of healing energies.

Basic skills learned include learning the electromagnetic human energy field model with its Major and Minor Chakras, flow patterns of Pranic Energy. The skills of perception and discernment are learned and practiced. Awareness of the layers and levels of the aura using the hands and sensitization of the hands are learned. Learning to collect external Prana, air prana, and then the projection of prana near and far is practiced and learned. The Practitioner learns to perceive and recognize conditions in the Aura, and then how to clear, cleanse and stabilize energy. Enhancement of patient receptivity is learned and the Practitioner learns of life style and ways to take care of themselves and clear themselves in the work.

Following all the basic skills the practitioner then goes on to learn how to work with colored pranic energy and then how to apply Pranic Healing to Psychological patterns. Practitioners may then learn to use crystals in the healing work and go on to learn other more advanced healing practices.

The utilization of Pranic Healing is based on becoming aware of the existing Electromagnetic Human Energy Field and Prana and then learning to direct the Prana. This is a very natural awareness and exercise. When Master Choa Kok Sui developed Pranic Healing part of his intention was to develop a healing system that was readily accessible to any ordinary person. Pranic Healing has accomplished this. One may read his books on Pranic Healing and learn enough to practice some degree of Pranic Healing. It continues to be our experience that some healers are more effective than others. The Consciousness of the Practitioner does play a part in effectiveness of healing.
